Cancellation requests must be received in writing via email on or before or by February 15, 2026.  Refunds will be issued minus a $50 processing fee. 

No refunds will be issued after February 15, 2026.

Speakers

James Campbell MD, MS

Professor, Department of Pediatrics
University of Maryland School of Medicine, Center for Vaccine Development and Global Health

Dr. James Campbell received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and his Master of Science in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. After residency at the National Naval Medical Center, he first practiced general Pediatrics on Guam and in Maryland before completing his fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Maryland. He has been a faculty member at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and its Center for Vaccine Development and Global Health since 2001. From 2007 to 2012, he lived in Uganda, where he worked for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Dr. Campbell currently combines clinical care, research, and teaching at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital. He is involved in a portfolio of research endeavors, including testing vaccines for influenza, anthrax, mpox, meningococcus, RSV, pneumococcus, and SARS-CoV-2. Dr. Campbell is also Acting Head of the Division of infectious Diseases and Tropical Pediatrics, Senior Vice Chair of the UMB IRB, Director of the Clinical Research Training and Mentoring Program, Acting Director of the Center for Vaccine Development and Global Health, Vice Chair and Co-Investigator of the IDCRC Leadership Group (LG)which oversees the NIH-funded national Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Unit program, and Vice Chair of the Committee on Infectious Diseases (COID or “Red Book Committee”) for the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Jean Lewis
Jean Lewis DMD, PC

Dr. Jean Lewis earned her dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and went on to complete a general practice residency and a fellowship in oral cancer. This advanced training deepened her understanding of complex medical care. She later completed a two-year pediatric dental residency at Rutgers University, where she discovered her true passion: working with children. With a foundation in integrative health from the Andrew Weill Center for Integrative Medicine, Dr. Lewis brings a whole-child approach to dentistry, always considering the child’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs. A lifelong learner, Dr. Lewis exceeds continuing education requirements every year and has contributed nationally to the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry as both an examiner and test writer. She’s also a past president of the Eastern Shore Dental Society and served as Chair of the Education Committee for the Arizona Dental Association.

Jennifer Chirico is a seasoned nursing leader with over 25 years of experience in Pediatrics, OB/GYN, and Dermatology. As a Senior Clinical Nurse in the Division of Pediatric Dermatology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine for the last 16 years, she combines deep clinical knowledge with a passion for patient-centered care, staff development, and continuous improvement in safety practices and outcomes. Jennifer holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Healthcare Organizational Leadership from Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and is one of approximately 150 Certified Dermatology Nurses in the country.

Elizabeth Cross PhD

Dr. Elizabeth “Betsy” Cross is a licensed psychologist at the Center for Autism Services, Science and Innovation (CASSITM) and an assistant professor at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She conducts autism diagnostic evaluations, provides individual therapy services, and is involved in research looking at the efficacy of parent training targeting challenging behaviors. Dr. Cross received her PhD from Ohio State University, where she specialized in child clinical psychology and psychology of intellectual and developmental disabilities.
