Pediatric Oncology Nurse Practitioner at the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders Regional Clinic, Children's National Hospital.
Beth Siever, RN, MSN, CPNP-PC, CPON, has been a nurse for over 35 years. Beth began her nursing career with a diploma from Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing. She continued with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Millersville University and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. Finally, she completed a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Post-Master Certificate from Duke University to become certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Beth has worked as a staff nurse in adult cardiology and pediatrics, a case manager for pediatric oncology, and a pediatric oncology nurse practitioner. She has been in her current position at Children's National Hospital since 2000, where she is the only Pediatric Oncology Nurse Practitioner at the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders regional specialty clinic in Rockville, Maryland. Throughout her career, Beth has conducted research, reviewed book chapters and journal articles, and lectured on general pediatric subjects and specific pediatric hematology oncology topics. She has been an active member of the Association of Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurses, holding leadership positions, lecturing, and mentoring other pediatric oncology nurses. As part of her APHON activities, Beth represents APHON at the Alliance for Childhood Cancer, where she joins in the efforts of the pediatric oncology community to advocate for robust funding and essential legislation that invests in research and supports programs that improve outcomes for pediatric cancer patients and their families. She was recently honored to be appointed by Governor Wes Moore as a Maryland Pediatric Cancer Research Commission Nurse Member.

Kelly Busin, MSN, RN is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist at Johns Hopkins Children's Hospital's Pediatric Diabetes Clinic. Kelly is passionate about enhancing diabetes care in the school setting. She chairs the Johns Hopkins School Nurse Education Workgroup and is a member of the Maryland Diabetes in School Work Group and the ADA Safe At School Working Group.

She received her Bachelor's and Master's in Nursing from the University of Maryland, and her Bachelor's in Psychology from Case Western Reserve University. Liz is a Nationally Certified School Nurse and President of the Maryland Association of School Health Nurses.

Beth Lambert has over 26 years of experience as a general and special educator in public education in the Baltimore region. Currently, Beth serves as the Supervisor for Student Support Team (SST) and Section 504 in Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS). In this position, Beth serves a variety of stakeholders, including students, schools/offices, parents, and the greater community in increasing disability awareness and the implementation of the SST, data-informed problem-solving process and Section 504. Beth holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Salisbury University and a master’s degree in special education for mild to moderate disabilities from Johns Hopkins University. She has experience presenting at the local, state, and national level. On a personal note, Beth lives in Harford County, MD with her husband, two young adult children, and a rescue dog named Shelby.

Erika Moore-Thames has been an educator for 20 years. She is currently serving as the Student Support Team and Section 504 Facilitator in the Department of Support Services for Baltimore County Public Schools. Her role includes training, coaching, and supporting the problem-solving process around the implementation of Section 504 and the Student Support Team process. Erika is also a certified trainer of Restorative Practices and Youth Mental Health First Aid. She is a contributing member of various county-wide committees. Erika holds a Master of Science in Education, with concentration in Technology in Education, from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Winston-Salem State University.
Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology

Bo Wang, MD, PhD, is an assistant professor of ophthalmology with the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore. He specializes in pediatric ophthalmology, with a particular interest in pediatric glaucoma, pediatric cataracts, strabismus, and retinopathy of prematurity. He received his bachelor's and doctorate degrees in bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh and completed his medical training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residence at the Wilmer Eye Institute and a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the Duke Eye Center. With a research interest in the application of noninvasive imaging techniques to better understand ocular diseases that affect children, Dr. Wang is using optical coherence tomography, a non-invasive optical imaging technique, to investigate changes in the outflow pathway that lead to pediatric glaucoma.
