RN---FT 12 hour shifts : Nightshift 7 P to 7 A : Family Birth Center : Union campus

ChristianaCare has an opening at Union Hospital located on our Cecil County Campus in Elkton, MD for an experienced Registered Nurse for our newly redesigned Family Birth Center.  Position is NIGHTSHIFT, 7P to 7 A 36 hours per week. If you are a passionate, experienced nurse in acute care, preferably in women's & children than this could be exactly what you are looking for!

Requirement:

• Current RN license in the state of Maryland or compact state.
• Associates Nursing Degree, BSN preferred.
• Two years' experience PREFERRED with 1 year in maternal - child health.
• BLS certification required.
• Certification in specialty is preferred and encouraged.
• NRP required if offered employment.

The Family Birth Center, featuring family centered care, focuses on the patient and family as one unit. This position requires the RN to coordinate care for laboring patients and mother-baby couplets. Provide patient education, related to a variety of concerns including disease management, self-care, infant care and discharge care.
